I worked at a shop where the boss was very curious when people went idle. So, if you were white-boarding a problem with a peer, you’d both get asked later where you were – since your mouse was idle.

It got tiring. it was one of the reasons why I left.

But those people are out there, and they’re hindering the career of people who appear idle because #goodhartsLaw, and sometimes you don’t know they’re doing it.

Given how much bad pressure and online criticism TNG, Voy and especially DS9 got, I’m surprised they even tried Ent. SNW was a great show, but don’t forget just how much fans and execs hated every single new series that came out. Your treasured classics were dragged through the muck regularly.

How I Met Your Mother. It was a fun show and really picked up in quality in seasons three - five. They could have ended the show in season 7, really, if they had planned for it.

I heard they were being cancelled after 7, and thus were on target to wrap it up by then, but then got the cash to do the last season and found themselves short on material but needing to end it properly.
