Feel like people who say that are just following a trend and trying to have a different mindset on purpose to sound cool. Infinity War was amazing, but it’s far less memorable than Endgame. Endgame epitomizes MCU and the hype before watching and after watching was insane. The unexplainable feeling you get after hearing the words “On your left” and seeing everyone come back. There are several videos on YouTube to prove how much it meant to fans. It was a big deal. You can argue that without Infinity War there is no Endgame but to say it’s better? Sorry no
The biggest issue with Endgame is that there are no stakes. In the previous movie they had already defeated Thanos, and the big plot point in Endgame was time travel - meaning they could endlessly go back to collect the stones to fix things.
You know the writing is bad when you have to ressurect the bad guy you literally just killed off.

So comic book writing 101?
I can’t recall, but in the MCU had they resurrected anyone up to that point? I guess Loki sorta?
Either way, one of the redeeming things with the MCU was that it was more grounded and avoided some of the sillier tropes. But they kinda jumped the shark with Endgame and introducing the five year jump / time travel / multiple dimensions.
In no universe is any marvel movie beyond 2004 worth a single fucking shit, and before that its still pretty questionable. Milking franchises ruins them.
So 4 years before the MCU even launched?
Damn right fuck mcu it ruined Marvel. There were some definite stinkers before then as well but they werent so shamelessly (is that a word?) cash grabby. Plus the spider man and xmen movies were pretty good. And I know some folks hated it but I enjoyed the punisher movie as well.
